# Run email campaigns

> Fill slow weeks by emailing customers you already earned. Segment your list, write once, and send with delivery tracking. Autopilot only.

New leads cost money. Email campaigns make money from the customers already in your CRM: a winter ceramic special to last summer's coating customers, a heads-up to everyone whose warranty inspection is due, a win-back offer to clients who went quiet. Build the audience from real shop data, write once, send to all of them.

Email campaigns are on the **Autopilot** plan. Open **Marketing** from the sidebar. Essential and Pro shops see an upgrade screen. Change plan in **Settings → Billing**.

For your shop texting number and Call Flow, see [Texts and calling](/integrations/sms-voice). That page is for the shop line, not email blasts.

## Building an email campaign

<Steps>
  <Step title="Name it">
    Click **New Campaign**. Give it a name your team will recognize in the list.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pick the audience">
    Choose from built-in audience types: all contacts, new in the last 30 days, inactive for 90 or more days, high spenders, by service, by vehicle, by tag, or a custom recipient list.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Build the email">
    Add the subject, preview text, and content. The customer's first name and similar details drop in automatically, and a preview shows the result before sending.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review recipients">
    Check the recipient preview before sending, especially after narrowing the list. Contacts who cannot receive the campaign are excluded automatically.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send or schedule">
    Send now or schedule for when your customers read email. Delivered, opened, clicked, and bounced counts roll in per recipient afterward.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Tip>
  Let the assistant draft it. Ask for "a win-back email for ceramic customers we haven't seen since spring" in the AI chat, then paste the winner into your campaign. See [AI agents](/features/ai-agents).
</Tip>

## Audiences that earn their keep

| Audience         | Built from                                      | Typical offer                         |
| ---------------- | ----------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------- |
| Lapsed ceramic | Inactive 90+ days plus coating history | Annual inspection with booster top-up |
| New since spring | New in last 30 days, filtered by tag | First-visit PPF intro pricing |
| Quote ghosts | Custom list from estimates sent, never approved | Limited deposit-match nudge |
| High spenders | High spenders preset | Early access to seasonal booking |

Preview the recipient count each time; audiences snapshot at send rather than refreshing later, so rerunning a campaign means picking the audience fresh.

## Compliance basics

Every email campaign includes an unsubscribe link handled for you. The review step shows exactly who receives it before anything goes out.

<Note>
  A good rule of thumb: monthly at most, and only when there's a reason. Shops that respect the inbox keep their lists responsive; shops that hammer them train customers to ignore everything.
