# Download and set up the ShopWrk iOS app on your iPhone

> Install the ShopWrk iOS app on your iPhone, sign in with your existing account, and understand how your role determines what you see in the app.

Getting started with the ShopWrk iOS app takes just a few minutes. You install it on your iPhone, sign in with the same ShopWrk account you use on the web, and the app automatically shows you the right experience for your role — shop owner or technician. There's no separate registration and no additional setup required.

## Before you begin

  You need an active ShopWrk account to sign in to the mobile app. If you don't have one yet, ask your shop owner or visit [shopwrk.com](https://shopwrk.com) to get set up.

Make sure you have:

* An iPhone running iOS 16 or later
* Your ShopWrk account email and password, or access to Apple ID or Google Sign-In

## Install the app

    Tap the App Store icon on your home screen or search for it in Spotlight.

  <Step title="Search for ShopWrk">
    Type **ShopWrk** in the search bar at the top of the App Store. Look for the official ShopWrk app by ShopWrk, Inc.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Tap Get and install">
    Tap **Get**, confirm with Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple ID password, and wait for the download to finish.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the app">
    Tap **Open** in the App Store, or find the ShopWrk icon on your home screen.

<Tip>
  If your shop is running a pre-release version of ShopWrk, you may be invited to install the app through Apple TestFlight instead of the App Store. Open the TestFlight link your shop owner sends you, tap **Install**, and the app will appear on your home screen alongside any other TestFlight builds.

## Sign in

When you open ShopWrk for the first time, you land on the sign-in screen. You can sign in with your email and password or use a single-tap OAuth option.

    Select one of the three options:

    * **Email and password** — enter the email and password associated with your ShopWrk account
    * **Continue with Apple** — uses your Apple ID; available on supported iPhones
    * **Continue with Google** — uses your Google account if your ShopWrk account is linked to one

  <Step title="Enter your credentials">
    If you're signing in with email and password, type your email address, then your password, and tap **Sign in**. If you forgot your password, tap **Forgot password?** to reset it on the ShopWrk website.

  <Step title="Confirm the sign-in prompt">
    If you're signing in with Apple or Google, follow the system prompt that appears. For Apple Sign-In, Face ID or Touch ID confirms your identity automatically.

  If you see an error after signing in, double-check that you're using the same email address tied to your ShopWrk account. Contact your shop owner if you're unsure which email to use.

## Role-based access

Once you sign in, ShopWrk reads the role assigned to your account and automatically shows you the right home screen. You don't need to choose a mode or toggle anything manually.

    If your account has the Owner role, you land on the **owner home screen**. You see your shop's live KPIs — today's revenue, jobs in progress, open pipeline value, and AI activity — along with today's schedule, quick-action tiles, and a recent activity feed.

    If your account has the Technician role, you land on the **technician home screen**. You see a clock-in/clock-out card, the jobs assigned to you today, your hours worked today and this week, and a preview of your recent messages.

## Navigate the app

Both the owner and technician experiences use the same bottom tab bar structure with five tabs.

| Tab           | What it does                                                                   |
| ------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Home**      | Your role-specific dashboard — KPIs for owners, shift tools for technicians    |
| **Schedule**  | Calendar view of jobs (coming soon)                                            |
| **Create**    | Quick-start sheet to create jobs, estimates, invoices, customers, and vehicles |
| **Inbox**     | Unified message inbox (coming soon)                                            |
| **Assistant** | AI assistant for shop questions                                                |

Tap the search icon in the top bar on the home screen to search across customers, vehicles, jobs, invoices, and estimates.

  The Schedule and Inbox tabs are coming in a future release. Use the ShopWrk web dashboard at [app.shopwrk.com](https://app.shopwrk.com) to access full scheduling and messaging features in the meantime.
