ShopWrk includes an AI assistant built specifically for auto styling shops. It knows your customers, jobs, estimates, invoices, and inventory — so instead of asking generic questions, you can ask things like “What did I tint for this customer last year?” or “Draft a follow-up SMS for my open estimates this week.” Open AI from the sidebar to start a conversation.

What the AI assistant can do

The assistant has access to tools that let it read and act on your shop’s data. You can ask it to:
  • Look up a customer’s vehicle history or lifetime spend
  • Summarize open estimates or unpaid invoices
  • Draft SMS messages, emails, or social media posts
  • Help you build promotional offers or packages
  • Walk you through how to use a ShopWrk feature
  • Analyze your job volume, revenue trends, or popular services
  • Coach you on sales conversations and objection handling
The assistant can read your shop’s data to give you accurate, specific answers. It cannot make changes to your data unless you explicitly ask it to perform an action and confirm.

Accessing the assistant

Click AI in the left sidebar to open the chat interface. Each conversation is saved so you can pick up where you left off. Click the pencil icon or press Cmd+K (Mac) / Ctrl+K (Windows) to start a new conversation.

Skills

The AI assistant can activate specialized skill sets depending on what you need help with. Skills give the assistant deeper expertise in a specific area.

Sales coaching

Scripts and tactics for converting leads, handling price objections, and following up on open estimates.

Content creation

Drafts for social media captions, email campaigns, SMS blasts, and Google Business posts tailored to auto styling.

Offer building

Help structuring promotions, package deals, and seasonal specials that make sense for your margins.

Customer management

Advice and actions around managing contacts, handling complaints, and building customer loyalty.

Data analysis

Interpret your job, revenue, and inventory data to spot trends, best-sellers, and opportunities.

Business strategy

Higher-level thinking on pricing strategy, service mix, and shop growth.

Inventory management

Guidance on stock planning, reorder decisions, and material cost management.

Scheduling

Help optimizing bay utilization, managing technician workloads, and planning your schedule.
Skills are loaded automatically based on the context of your conversation. You don’t need to explicitly activate them — just ask about the topic and the assistant will bring in the relevant expertise.

Knowledge base

The knowledge base is a library of documents the AI can reference when answering your questions. Use it to store information specific to your shop:
  • Pricing guides and package details
  • Manufacturer warranty terms
  • Film spec sheets and install notes
  • Staff training materials
  • Frequently asked questions from customers
1

Open the knowledge base

Go to AI → Knowledge Base from the sidebar.
2

Add a document

Click Add Document and upload a file or paste text content. Give it a descriptive title so the assistant can find it when relevant.
3

Ask questions that reference it

Once a document is in the knowledge base, the assistant will automatically include it in its context when you ask related questions.
When you first set up the AI assistant, ShopWrk will prompt you to go through a knowledge base onboarding step. This helps seed the assistant with the most useful shop-specific information right away.

Tips for better results

Instead of “help me with my customers,” try “show me the 5 customers who spent the most in the last 90 days.” The more specific your question, the more useful the answer.
The assistant remembers the conversation context. If you ask for a list and want more detail on one item, just ask — you don’t need to repeat the full context.
The AI is excellent at generating first drafts of SMS messages, emails, and social posts. Always review and personalize the output before sending.
When the assistant pulls data from your shop (revenue totals, job counts, etc.), treat the numbers as a starting point and verify anything important in the corresponding report.
