What the AI assistant can do
The assistant can look up your shop’s data and take actions you confirm. You can ask it to:- Look up a customer’s vehicle history or lifetime spend
- Summarize open estimates or unpaid invoices
- Draft SMS messages, emails, or social posts
- Help you build promotional offers or packages
- Walk you through how to use a ShopWrk feature
- Analyze your job volume, revenue trends, or popular services
- Coach you on sales conversations and objection handling
The assistant can read your shop’s data to give you specific answers. It will not change customers, jobs, or invoices unless you ask it to and confirm.
Open the assistant
Click AI in the left sidebar. The chat opens. Each conversation is saved, so you can pick up where you left off. Click the pencil icon to start a new conversation. Cmd+K on a Mac, or Ctrl+K on Windows, opens shop search. It does not start a new chat. See shop search. From search, Quick AI can hand the same thread into this full chat with Open in full chat.Leave while AI is working
You can leave the AI chat while ShopWrker is still running. The work keeps going. A chip at the top of the app shows the status. Click the chip to jump back to that thread.Skills

- Frequently asked questions from customers
1
Open the knowledge library
Go to AI → Knowledge Base from the sidebar.

3
Ask questions that use it
Once a document is in the knowledge library, the assistant includes it when you ask related questions.
When you first set up the AI assistant, ShopWrk will prompt you to add knowledge library documents. Start with pricing, film notes, and the shop details the assistant should know.
Tips for better results
Be specific about what you want
Be specific about what you want
Instead of “help me with my customers,” try “show me the 5 customers who spent the most in the last 90 days.” The more specific your question, the more useful the answer.
Ask follow-up questions
Ask follow-up questions
The assistant remembers the conversation. If you ask for a list and want more detail on one item, just ask. You do not need to repeat the full context.
Use it for drafts, not final copy
Use it for drafts, not final copy
The assistant is good at first drafts of SMS messages, emails, and social posts. Always review and personalize the output before sending.
Check generated numbers
Check generated numbers
When the assistant pulls data from your shop, treat the numbers as a starting point. Verify anything important in the matching report.
