The story, step by step
1
The lead arrives
Someone texts your ShopWrk number asking about PPF for a new Grand Cherokee. It lands in Conversations and appears as a lead in your CRM, with the source recorded.
2
Quote without leaving the thread
Open the estimate builder from the conversation. Pick the vehicle, choose full front PPF, and tier-based pricing fills in the right panel count and price for a large SUV. Add a ceramic coating option if you want to upsell. Send it by text with one click.
3
Get approval and a deposit
The customer opens the link, reviews the line items, pays the deposit by card through ShopWrk Pay, and approves. The estimate flips to approved and the job creates itself, ready to schedule.
4
Book the job
The job is already there from the deposit approval. Customer, vehicle, services, and deposit status carried over. Drag it onto Thursday in your calendar, check bay availability, and assign a tech whose skills match PPF work.
5
Run the day
When the customer arrives, open the job. Work the checklist and photograph the panels before and after. Note anything unusual so it is documented before you touch the bumper.
6
Invoice the balance
Mark the job complete, create the invoice from it, and send. The invoice pre-fills with the booked services minus the deposit already collected. The customer gets a link and pays from their phone.
7
Close the loop
If you enabled the Review Request automation, it sends the next day. Warranty registration happens from the completed job when its services carry warranty details; see Warranties.
Where everything lives afterward
Once the job wraps, everything stays attached where you’d look for it:
Guides for each stop along the way:
- Conversations inbox
- Estimates
- ShopWrk Pay deposits and payments
- Calendar and booking
- Invoices
- Automations
- Warranties
Try it safely on your own data
Before inviting customers into this flow, run it once with yourself as the customer. Use your own mobile number so texts arrive for real and approve the estimate from the customer link. You can stop before submitting a real card payment; if you do make one to see the full flow, refund it afterward and check the processor’s refund timing.Delete test contacts when you finish practicing. Test jobs left in place will show up in revenue reports alongside real work.
